New Beginnings Transit Home

The Botham Jean Foundation

A Safe Place to Start Again

The New Beginnings Transit Home provides a temporary, safe residential environment for children aged 2-16 who are victims of child abuse and severe neglect, offering them care and protection.

Mission and Care: Nurturing Potential in a Safe Environment

The New Beginnings Transit Home aims to nurture each child’s full potential by focusing on their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while maintaining family connections. By providing comprehensive care in a safe, home-like setting, the New Beginnings Transit Home helps children heal and grow.

This facility, a subdivision of the Division of Human Services and Family Affairs in Saint Lucia, is located in Case en Bas, Gros Islet, and is dedicated to supporting vulnerable children through their most challenging times.

Community Involvement: Botham Jean’s Legacy of Love and Support

Botham Jean always demonstrated his love for children and was instrumental in encouraging the mission team to dedicate time to the New Beginnings Transit Home. By talking and reading to the children, playing games, and showing them love and care, the team continues Botham’s legacy of compassion and support. These activities not only provide comfort and joy to the children but also foster a sense of normalcy and emotional well-being, reinforcing the Home’s mission to create a nurturing environment for all its residents.
